Please ensure the iPad is connected to the correct hotspot or the internal sim is operating correctly. Please know you could have been in a cellular dead zone at the time. If the gear icon changes to a red color it means the app lost the Internet connection. If the gear icon changes to a yellow color it mean the app is performing a sync, which can reduce the performance of the app. You can also watch the sync clock at the upper right of the incident list, which should reset every ten seconds. If you find the clock going past ten seconds it mean you are in a poor or disconnected state.
